Finally...

We have finally finished shooting. I'm just gonna say what's happened over the last few days.

On Wednesday, we officially went out for our shoot. There's a big problem with cameras, but luckily, my group members are as kiasu as I am. Thus, we reached school early and got the only available cameras. We are awesome!

One of the difficulties we had were the equipment. Like, it's really super heavy to carry around two tripods and 3 cameras. We were seriously about to die by then end of the day. Not to mention being in that star was extremely tiring! For some of the scenes on the bus, I actually hit the roof of the bus and stuff like that. It was quite terrifying. And I kept banging into stuff.

Another difficulty I was facing was my temper. Being a big white star isn't as easy as it seems. Before it even reached noon time, I was already tired from smiling at people so much. In fact, I'm still suffering from it I think. I know that it's not good to be foul tempered whilst on set because it ultimately affects everyone's mood. But I did try my best to keep smiling and be encouraging to my group members.

One of the notable things about my group members are their willingness. They are very cooperative and we listen to each other. And this really makes me very happy.

At the end of the day, we were totally spent from running around in Singapore. But we are extremely satisfied with the work that we've produced.

Thursday has been a day of editing. After spending some time in school to do some work, we went back to Jake's place to do our editing. I had to do the editing since I couldn't do much during the actual production itself. But it's not that I mind. I do like editing. But it's so hard to edit when you see your unglam face everywhere in the footage. If you look at one of the intro scene of the star, you will see my tummy. But it's like, I have no other choice than to use that footage because there's no more shots. Tsk. Kill me now. Really.

Well, everything is finished now. I am definitely satisfied with our work. And I'm proud of it. (: Submission is tomorrow and I really hope our efforts have paid off. ♥ I ♥ my group.

I lost count of the days. (:

Over the last few days, it's been really confusing because of a lot of changes and stuff like that. AND I WILL TELL YOU THE VERY STUPID REASON AT THE END OF THE ENTRY. HAHAHA.

1. We changed the story many many times and finally settled on having our star walking around like a normal person, instead of running.

2. We settled on having only one prop, a 3D star.

3. I am gonna have to be the star.

WWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?

Cause our stars got trashed while they were left unattended. The auntie thought it was trash. ):

I'll explain to you how this relates to the above.

Problem 1&2: Since our flat-ish stars got trashed, we decided it would be wise to do one very nice and swee prop only. And so, if we made it 3D, we cannot risk it getting damaged. Thus, the walking.

So we made the star!

Cutting the pieces out...

And gluing the pieces together...

Giving it a paint bath...

Problem 3: JY isn't available. Okay. So now here's the most stupid of all stupid reasons for me to ever become the star. Initially, we called Andrea Lim, who was willing, to be our star. But she wasn't around that day. Thus, we ended up using my face shape to cut our a hole in the boards. THEREFORE, when Andrea tried it on, it was too big! Nobody else seemed to fit it better, or so my group said... So...

Bueno.

Day 08

Turns out my group's Assignment 1 wasn't the only funny one around. Many people went with the funny feel. Ohh well. It's alright, because ours was awesomely pimped up!

I think my entries are very bimbotic.

Anyway, we were briefed about assignment 2, which actually involves us doing a video example for the upcoming National Day video competition. It just has to somehow relate to the pledge.

The group has talked about this already and we've come to a conclusion!

We are going to involve someone in a big star costume, going around Singapore. We are planning the story to be something like this:

A man turns up late, in his star costume, to a concert rehearsal. He explains to his friends why he was late, and here, we see a montage of him running throughout the various places in Singapore. Yup. That's about it.

We'll probably have a problem with our cast as well. We're thinking of asking JY to act for us. Hopefully he can make it!
